Most of the Belgian diveable quarries can be found in the southern part of our country.

An important part of it is managed by the UBS (Union Belge de Speleologie).

In order to better protect the geo-heritage, to respect the tranquility of the local inhabitants and the safety of divers, the quarries are protected by a locked gate. Access is restricted to members of UBS or an organization authorized by UBS.

The Association of Flemish Speleologists (VVS Verbond van Vlaamse Speleologen vzw) includes almost all speleoclubs in Flanders and represents the Flemish speleologist in national and international federations. The Science Explorers are members of the VVS.
